Simply Chocolate Cocktails
Chocolate Kiss
- 1.5 oz Putney Mountain Simply Chocolate liqueur
- 1.5 oz Putney Mountain Vermont Cassis liqueur
Mix the two liqueurs together. Enjoy this cocktail neat or on the rocks.
Winter Storm
- 2 oz Putney Mountain Simply Chocolate liqueur⠀⠀
- 4 oz cream⠀⠀
- Chocolate (garnish)⠀
First pour the liqueur into a glass, then slowly pour the cream over the back of a spoon. Garnish with a piece of chocolate, and enjoy! Stir before drinking.
Chocolate orange
- 3 oz Putney Mountain Simply Chocolate liqueur
- 1.5 oz orange juice
- Ice
- Orange wedge (garnish)
Fill a glass with ice. Pour orange juice and liqueur over the ice and stir. Garnish with an orange wedge.
Adult Hot Chocolate
- 3 oz Putney Mountain Simply Chocolate liqueur⠀⠀⠀⠀
- 5 oz cream⠀⠀⠀⠀

Add both ingredients to a small saucepan and gently warm, but don’t boil. Serve in a glass mug and garnish with whipped cream and a dusting of coco powder.⠀
Chocolate Delight
- 1 oz Putney Mountain Simply Chocolate liqueur
- 1 oz Bailey’s Irish Cream
- 0.5 oz vodka
- 1 oz heavy cream
- chocolate syrup (garnish)
- Whipped cream (garnish)
- ice
Put all ingredients except for chocolate syrup and whipped cream in a cocktail shaker and shake. Drizzle the chocolate syrup around the rim of a glass and down the sides. Strain the drink into the prepared glass, and top with whipped cream.
Chocolate Martini

Ice
Combine liqueur and vodka in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice. Adjust proportions to your liking. Chill a martini glass in the freezer for several minutes, then strain the mixture into the prepared glass. Garnish with raspberries on a cocktail stick and enjoy!
If you want to make it a chocolate-raspberry martini, replace the vodka with raspberry vodka.
Simply Maple Cocktails
Vermont Irish Coffee
- 1 oz Putney Mountain Simply Maple liqueur
- 2 oz Irish Whiskey
- 4.5 oz hot espresso
- 1.5 oz whipped cream
- Pinch of grated dark chocolate
Stir the Simply Maple liqueur into the whiskey in a warmed glass. Pour in the espresso. Add whipped cream over the back of a spoon so that it floats on top. Dust with a grating of dark chocolate.
Maple Whiskey Sour
- 1 oz Putney Mountain Simply Maple liqueur
- 2 oz bourbon
- 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
- Egg white (optional)
- Orange wedge
Shake all ingredients without ice. Add ice and shake again. Strain into an old fashioned glass. Add fresh ice. Garnish with a wedge of orange.
Maple Manhattan
- 1 oz Putney Mountain Simply Maple liqueur
- 2 oz bourbon or rye whiskey
- Dash of bitters
- Orange peel
Place ice in a cocktail shaker. Add whiskey, liqueur and bitters. Rub the orange peel around the rim of a cocktail glass. Strain the drink into the glass. Enjoy!
Maple Cider
- 1 oz Putney Mountain Simply Maple liqueur
- 2 oz fresh apple cider
- 2 oz bourbon whiskey
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- Pinch of ground cinnamon
- Ice
- Apple slices to garnish
Put bourbon, lemon juice, liqueur and cider in a cocktail shaker and shake. Place ground cinnamon on plate and press the rim of a chilled rocks glass into it. Fill the glass with ice and add the contents of the cocktail shaker. Garnish with apple slices and enjoy!
Vermont Pumpkin Spice
- 1 oz Putney Mountain Simply Ginger liqueur
- 1 oz Putney Mountain Simply Maple liqueur
- 1 tbs pumpkin puree
- 2 oz club soda
- pinch ground cinnamon
- pinch ground nutmeg
- Ice
- Optional garnish, cinnamon stick
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously.
Hot Maple Butter Rum
- 1 cup apple cider⠀
- 2 oz Putney Mountain Simply Maple liqueur⠀
- 2 oz rum⠀
- 2 Tbs butter (at room temperature)⠀
- 2 Tbs brown sugar⠀
- 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream⠀
- Pinch of cinnamon⠀
⠀
Thoroughly mix together butter and sugar, the add ice cream. Place this mixture in the freezer for at least 20 minutes. ⠀
Bring the apple cider to a boil. Then, split the frozen mixture between two mugs, add 1 oz of rum and one oz of Simply Maple to each, and top off with the apple cider. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and enjoy!
Vermont Cassis Cocktails
Maggie's Gin and Tonic
- 1 oz Putney Mountain Winery Vermont Cassis liqueur
- 1 oz gin
- 1 oz Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
- 3 oz Tonic Water
In a tall glass add ice, gin, Vermont Cassis, lime juice and tonic. Garnish with slice of lime.
Tequila Hummingbird
- 0.5 oz Putney Mountain Vermont Cassis liqueur
- 1 oz Putney Mountain Simply Ginger liqueur
- 1.5 oz dark tequila
- 2 oz sparkling water
- Lime wedge (garnish)
Combine tequila, Vermont Cassis, Simply Ginger and lime juice. Pour into a highball glass over ice. Top with sparkling water and garnish with a wedge of lime.
Kir Royale
- 1 – 3 oz (to taste) Putney Mountain Winery Vermont Cassis liqueur
- 5 oz Putney Mountain Northern Spy sparkling wine, Champagne, Prosecco or Cava
Pour Champagne or other dry sparkling wine into a champagne flute. Add Vermont Cassis slowly and watch it swirl through the sparkling wine. Use the larger measure of Vermont Cassis to make it sweeter.
Pink Russian
- 2 oz Putney Mountain Winery Vermont Cassis liqueur
- 1 oz vodka
- 2 oz Heavy Cream
- Ice
Put ice in a chilled rocks glass. Add vodka and Vermont Cassis. Then slowly add cream by pouring over the back of a spoon so it forms a layer on top of the liqueur. Stir before drinking.
Cassis Martini
- 1 oz Vermont Cassis liqueur
- 2 oz vodka
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 1 tsp sugar
- Ice
Chill a martini glass in the freezer. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake thoroughly. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass and garnish with a few raspberries or a rose petal.
Simply Ginger Cocktails
Rum and Ginger
- 3 oz Putney Mountain Simply Ginger liqueur
- 1 oz white rum
- Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- Wedge of lemon (garnish)
- Ice
Chill rum in freezer and liqueur in refrigerator. Combine liqueur and rum in a cocktail glass over ice, add a squeeze of lemon juice to taste and garnish with lemon wedge.
Tequila Mockingbird
- 3 oz Putney Mountain Simply Ginger liqueur
- 1 oz blanco tequila
- Squeeze of fresh lime juice
- Lime wedge (garnish)
Chill tequila in the freezer and liqueur in the refrigerator. Combine liqueur with tequila in a stemless champagne flute. Add a squeeze of lime juice to taste and garnish with a lime wedge.
Snowbird Fizz
- 1 oz Putney Mountain Simply Ginger liqueur
- 4 oz Putney Mountain Northern Spy sparkling wine, prosecco, or champagne
- 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- Grapefruit wedge (garnish)
Combine grapefruit juice and liqueur in a champagne flute. Add sparkling wine and stir gently. Garnish with grapefruit wedge and enjoy!
Peach Ginger Slushie
- 1.5 oz Putney Mountain Simply Ginger liqueur
- 1 cup frozen peach slices
- 1.5 oz bourbon
- 1 tsp finely grated ginger root (ajust amount to taste)
- 1 tsp sugar
- Juice of 1/2 a lime
- 1/2 cup limeade
- Ice cubes (about 5 or 6)
Combine all ingredients except for ice in a blender, and blend until done. Slowly blend in ice cubes a few at a time until the drink is the consistency of a slushy. Garnish with a slice of lime and enjoy.
Pumpkin Pie
- 1.5 oz Putney Mountain Simply Ginger liqueur
- 1.5 oz Putney Mountain Simply Maple liqueur
- 2 oz bourbon whiskey
- 1 oz pumpkin puree
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 2 oz club soda
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
- Ice
- Optional garnish, cinnamon stick and rosemary sprig
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously.
The GinGin
- 2 oz Simply Ginger liqueur
- 1 oz gin (we used Barr Hill)
- Juice of 1/2 a lime
- 3 oz tonic water
- Ice
Mix together the Simply Ginger liqueur, gin, lime juice and tonic water. Fill a cocktail glass with ice, pour the mixture in and garnish with a lime wedge!
Simply Honey
Honey Margarita
- 1 oz Putney Mountain Simply Honey liqueur
- 1 oz tequila
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 1 lime, juiced
- Ice
- Lime wheel (garnish)
Shake all ingredients (except garnish) with ice. Strain the mixture into a cocktail glass filled with fresh ice and garnish with a lime wheel.
Bourbon Buzz
- 1 oz Putney Mountain Simply Honey liqueur
- 1 oz bourbon whiskey
- 2 oz lemonade
- Ice
- Lemon slice (garnish)
Combine all ingredients (except for garnish) in a cocktail shaker. Fill a cocktail glass with fresh ice and strain the drink into the glass. Garnish with the lemon and enjoy!
Citrus & Honey
You will need:
- 1.5 oz Putney Mountain Simply Honey liqueur
- 1 oz gin
- 2 oz fresh squeezed grapefruit or blood orange juice
- Egg white, whipped (optional)
- Ice
- Fresh rosemary sprig (garnish)
- Orange or grapefruit slice (garnish)
In a cocktail shaker, add together ice, gin, liqueur, and juice. shake well and strain into a glass. There is a lot of variation in the flavor of fresh citrus juice, depending on the sweetness of the citrus used, you may want to add an extra splash of Simply Honey liqueur or even some simple syrup to this cocktail.
Add the egg whites (if using) and garnish.
Raspberry-Honey
- 2 oz Putney Mountain Simply Honey liqueur
- Putney Mountain Simply Ginger liqueur (to taste)
- 12 raspberries
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 2 oz sparkling water
- Ice
- Lemon (garnish, optional)
Put the raspberries and both liqueurs in a glass and muddle the raspberries until they are completely broken down. Pour the raspberry mixture and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker and shake with ice. Strain the mixture into an ice filled glass. Top with sparkling water and garnish with a lemon wheel.
Wine Cocktails
New England Mimosa
- 1 Bottle Putney Mountain Northern Spy sparkling wine
- 1 Bottle Putney Mountain Simply Cranberry wine
Chill both wines. Fill a champagne flute two thirds of the way full with Northern Spy sparkling wine. Top off the glass with Simply Cranberry wine and enjoy!
Rhubarb Sangria
- 1 bottle Putney Mountain Rhubarb Blush wine⠀
- 1/2 cup Putney Mountain Vermont Cassis liqueur⠀
- 4 cups sparkling water⠀
- 1 orange, juiced⠀
- 1 orange cut into slices⠀
- 2 cups strawberries and/or raspberries⠀
- Ice⠀
In a large pitcher, combine wine, liqueur, sparkling water, orange juice and ice. slice the remaining orange as well as the strawberries and raspberries and add them to the pitcher. Serve in wine glasses or other cocktail glasses and garnish with an orange slice
Rhubarb Frosé
- 1 bottle Putney Mountain Rhubarb Blush wine
- 2 cups strawberries
- 2 ice cube trays
- Blender
- Wine glasses
- Mint leaves
Fill both ice cube trays with Rhubarb Blush wine and freeze until solid. Simultaneously, cut the tops off of strawberries, slice them in half and freeze. When both the wine and berries are frozen, place them in the blender blend on high. You may need to leave the frozen berries and wine out at room temperature for a few minutes before doing this for the blender to work. Serve in wine glasses with mint to garnish.
Honey Royale
- 4 oz Putney Mountain Northern Spy sparkling wine
- 2-3 oz Putney Mountain Simply Honey liqueur
Pour the chilled sparkling wine into a champagne flute followed by the liqueur and garnish with a few fresh raspberries.
